Carol Cohen "Cookie Carol"
Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises and trains some of the finest guide dogs and service dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities find the freedom, confidence and independence they need.
Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge students and veterans for their services. I had the privilege in working in the Puppy Raising Services Department for two years and helped co-raise a puppy -- an incredibly rewarding experience.
I am helping to raise funds for Southeastern Guide Dogs by participating in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon. Your help means a lot to me—and to the people whose lives are changed forever because of these extraordinary dogs. These dogs really do make a difference and you can, too. *** For every donation of $20 or more, I will enter your name into the Walkathon Raffle with a Grand Prize of $10,000 *** Thank you for your help!
P.S. Help break a World Record! At this year’s Walkathon, Southeastern Guide Dogs will attempt to break an existing World Record for the largest gathering of dogs wearing bandanas at a single event. All you have to do is show up with your dog(s), and they will supply the bandanas. Bring your friends and their dogs and help us break a world record!
