Bob and Linda Holm
Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs and service dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.
When we learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge students and veterans for their services, we knew we wanted to get involved. Linda and I volunteer as a puppy raiser and it is incredibly rewarding to raise one of these extraordinary puppies. When we found out that we could help raise funds for Southeastern Guide Dogs too, that's when we decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon.
As new puppy raisers we missed the St. Petersburg Walkathon but can still add to the fundraiser for our group, Central Pinellas Puppy Raisers. We have set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal, and your help means a lot to us—and to the people whose lives are changed forever because of these extraordinary dogs. Your donation makes it possible for these puppies to stay healthy and grow into dogs of the highest caliber. These dogs really do make a difference and you can, too. Join me in supporting Southeastern Guide Dogs in its mission to raise and train these puppies and provide such a priceless service. We appreciate your donation of any amount and thank you for your help!
