As many of you already know, Southeastern is a very special organization to me and my entire family. My sister, Sue, is totally blind, but lives life to the very fullest thanks to the beautiful, Mason, the impeccably trained guide dog she received from Southeastern.
Mason is Sue's second guide from Southeastern, her first, Barbie served Sue faithfully until her retirement. In neither instance was Sue required to pay absolutely anything for these incredible dogs.
Another very important fact is that SEGD also serves our military community. Active duty soldiers and retired servicemen and women who have fought for our freedom certainly deserve the freedom to navigate life with their head held hight, and the renewed confidence that the borrowed eyes of a four legged friend from Southeastern can bring.
As usual, Sue and I will be walking with Mason and his cousins, my greyhounds, Ava and Armani, together with the rest of Team Turtle Rock with the hope that we will once again be able to name a puppy or sponsor a student.
If you can, please join us to walk, and please support our cause with your donations.
