Meet PJ - the adorable yellow lab female that Roger and I are co-raising with Leslie Shepard. PJ is smart, eager to please, and very easy to train. In fact, she's teaching us a lot about puppy raising. In this picture, she is just 12 weeks old - and she is growing so fast!
Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide and service dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to their intelligence and fine training, people who cannot see—and veterans who have seen too much—are able to walk out their front door with confidence and independence.
You probably know that Roger and I donate both time and money to this great organization: Roger is volunteering in the Puppy Kindergarten as a helper, and I volunteer in the Nursery as an educator - two of the best positions on campus!
Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge their recipients for their dogs or services. And I have witnessed first-hand how these dogs change the lives of the people who receive them.
Please join me in supporting the Southeastern Guide Dogs mission to raise and train these puppies and create extraordinary dogs. I've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal, and your help means a lot to me. Your donations make it possible for these puppies to stay healthy and grow into working dogs of the highest caliber.
