Grand Prize will be drawn on Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Southeastern Guide Dogs’ Palmetto Campus. Winning Event Prize tickets will be randomly drawn and announced at approximately 1:30 PM at each individual Walkathon Location.
All proceeds benefit Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221. Winners do not need to be present to win.
Participants must be 18 years of age. The following persons are prohibited from participating: Employees and the members of the Board of Directors of Southeastern Guide Dogs, and anyone living in the same household of any such person. NO ENTRY FEE, CONTRIBUTION, DONATION, PAYMENT, OR PROOF OF PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO WIN. To enter, mail your donation check payable to Southeastern Guide Dogs (if you choose to donate) and completed ticket stub(s) to Southeastern Guide Dogs – Walkathon Raffle, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221. To request a ticket without a donation mail a 3” x 5” card with your name, address and phone number to Southeastern Guide Dogs – Walkathon Raffle, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221 (one ticket per request). Mailed-in entries and requests must be received by Thursday, May 2, 2019. Raffle ticket donations do not qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions. Raffle tickets cannot be purchased online.
Winners do not need to be present at the drawing(s) to win. Southeastern Guide Dogs will use reasonable efforts to contact the prize winners during the 30-day period following the drawing. If winners are not contacted by 4:30 P.M. after 30 days after the selected Event Location drawing date, such winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and another winner will be drawn at that time.
All prizes have been purchased with the proceeds from raffle ticket sales. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and pick-up or delivery of prize. All times stated in the official rules and regulations reference local time in Palmetto, Florida.

The Official Rules and Regulations of the “Southeastern Guide Walkathon” raffle are set forth below. By entering the raffle, all entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and Regulations, waive any right to claim ambiguity in the raffle or these Official Rules and Regulations, and further agree to be bound by Southeastern Guide Dogs’ decisions and interpretation of these Official Rules. All federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances apply and take precedence over these rules. Void where prohibited. Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. is the sponsor of this raffle and has its principal place of business at 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221. All times stated reference local time in Palmetto, Florida.
TAX DEDUCTIBILITY NOTICE: Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. is a federally tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, the Internal Revenue Service has decided that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for prizes are not gifts, and therefore do not qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions.
ELIGIBILITY: Anyone 18 years of age or older may enter, except that the following persons are prohibited from participating: employees of Southeastern Guide Dogs, members of the Board of Directors of Southeastern Guide Dogs, and anyone living in the same household of any such person.
ENTRY: By entering this raffle, the entrants accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth herein, and (2) that their names and/or likeness may be disclosed to and published and publicized by the news media and may otherwise be used by Southeastern Guide Dogs for publicity purposes, including publication on Southeastern Guide Dogs’ website and other promotional materials, in all cases without any compensation to the winner. Southeastern Guide Dogs’ interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final. By entering this raffle, each participant releases Southeastern Guide Dogs, its employees, founders, owners, directors, officers, agents or any sponsor or any of its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, franchisees, service agencies, shareholders, members, representatives, or independent contractors or any of its affiliates from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participating in the raffle or winning any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. The winner also agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Southeastern Guide Dogs, and/or sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and affiliates and identities harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winners acceptance or use of any prize.
PRIVACY: Southeastern Guide Dogs will not share, sell, or otherwise distribute personal information collected by the entrant, except as stated in these rules.
TICKETS: The suggested minimum donation for each ticket is $5.00 (or 5 tickets for $20.00). No contribution or donation is necessary to enter. Payment methods accepted are cash, credit cards, or personal checks or money orders made payable to Southeastern Guide Dogs. Tickets may be purchased only from an official Southeastern Guide Dog representative or supporter. Tickets may not be purchased online, via email or voicemail. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. You may purchase as many tickets as you wish, subject to availability. Each ticket can be purchased in the name of only one person. If more than one name appears on a ticket entry form, then the first name listed will be deemed the purchaser of that ticket. Any ticket without complete contact information for the entrant may be disqualified by Southeastern Guide Dogs in its sole discretion. Tickets may not be changed, sold or transferred by the purchasing party or anyone else without the express written approval of Southeastern Guide Dogs in its sole discretion. Ticket stubs and payments (if you choose to donate) must be received by Southeastern Guide Dogs by 4:30 P.M. April 30, 2019. Sales of raffle tickets at each individual event on will end at 1:15 PM. To request a ticket without a donation mail a 3″ x 5″ card with your name, address, and phone number to Southeastern Guide Dogs – Walkathon Raffle, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221 (one ticket per request).
REFUNDS: All donations are final once received by Southeastern Guide Dogs, and will not be refunded. Southeastern Guide Dogs assumes no responsibility for printing errors in any raffle-related material, or for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadline. All entries become the property of Southeastern Guide Dogs and will not be returned.

The winner must claim his or her prize within fourteen (14) days after receiving notice of the award. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the number of raffle tickets sold. The odds of any ticket being picked as a winner will not depend on whether the entrant provided a donation in exchange for the ticket; all tickets will have an equal chance of winning.
PRIZE DETAILS: All prizes have been purchased using proceeds from raffle ticket sales. The winner is responsible for all local, state and federal taxes of any type and all incidental expenses, except to the extent expressly provided otherwise herein. Payment of income tax withholding and/or the completion of a W-9 will be required at the time of transfer of the prize to the winner. In the case of the cash prize, Southeastern Guide Dogs shall withhold income taxes in accordance with law and shall remit the balance of the cash prize to the winner. Southeastern Guide Dogs, or any of their employees, affiliates, agents or assigns, will not nor do hereby offer any legal, tax, or gifting advice. The winner is advised to seek professional legal, tax, and investment advice prior to the purchase of a contest ticket. By acceptance of a prize awarded, the winner agrees to hold Southeastern Guide Dogs harmless in any dispute arising over any representations concerning the value of the prize. In the event the prize is destroyed, damaged, or otherwise unavailable for any reason whatsoever, Southeastern Guide Dogs may, in its sole discretion award a substitute prize of equivalent value. Actual prize may vary from photos used in print. No warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied are made by Southeastern Guide Dogs. Warranties and/or restrictions (if any) of prizes are set forth by product manufacturer and companies donating resort and airline travel packages. Taxes, fees, blackout dates and other restrictions may apply.
DISCLAIMER OF ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS & WARRANTIES: Southeastern Guide Dogs makes no representations or warranties other than as expressly set forth in these official rules and regulations. Southeastern Guide Dogs disclaims all other representations and warranties, express or implied, regarding the raffle, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
DISPUTES: Each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy for breach of these rules (or any other valid claim) against Southeastern Guide Dog shall be limited to the return of the donation amount (if any) given for his or her raffle ticket. In no event shall Southeastern Guide Dogs be liable to any party for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, even if Southeastern Guide Dogs has been advised of the possibility of such damages. As a condition precedent to the entrant bringing suit against any party in connection with this raffle, the entrant must deliver, within one (1) year after the date of the drawing, written notice to Southeastern Guide Dogs stating that the entrant has a claim or dispute against Southeastern Guide Dogs with respect to the raffle, and such notice must state with particularity the nature of the claim or dispute, the remedy requested, and the identity and contact information of the entrant.
