Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs and service dogs in the world. The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous (said with the certainty of a couple currently raising a 6 month old Golden Retriever!). Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities find freedom, confidence, and independence.
Something you might not realize: Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge students and veterans for their services! So Baxter and I are participating (and Laura, who will be at a wedding - will be there in spirit!) in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon.
We’ve set a fundraising goal of $500. And while your help means a lot to us personally, it means even more to the people whose lives are changed forever because of these extraordinary dogs. Your donation makes it possible for these puppies to stay healthy and grow into dogs of the highest caliber. They are superhero’s. They change lives - and we can too. Thank you for your help and consideration!

P.S. Help break a World Record! At this year's Walkathon, Southeastern Guide Dogs will attempt to break an existing World Records title for the largest gathering of dogs wearing bandanas at a single event. We need you! All you have to do is show up with your dog(s), and they will supply the bandanas. Bring your friends and their dogs and help us break a world record!
