Personal Message:

Southeastern Guide Dogs has been around since 1982, and the employees, volunteers, and generous donors are all dedicated to breeding, raising, and training guide and service dogs for those with visual impairments or who suffer from PTSD.

The most asked question we hear as puppy raisers is "how can you ever give them up?"  For us, witnessing a puppy we raised guiding a 19-year old visually impaired student was so gratifying that we decided to do it again and again.  That is why we raised our third puppy, Sweet Lou, who is currently in college on campus.

"Serving those who cannot see and those who have seen too much.  When people lose vision, it’s easy to lose hope. When veterans lose hope, it’s easy to give up. It’s easy to let the darkness define life instead of living life to its fullest. That’s why we develop extraordinary partnerships between our dogs and the people who need them, and offer our dogs and services at no cost."  This is Southeastern Guide Dogs and it’s why we volunteer as puppy raisers.  Please help us create more amazing partnerships between dogs and those who need them to get through life.
